How to install IPTV on Android, Android TV and TV boxes
Last updated
Android is the easiest system for IPTV: one app from the Google Play Store is enough. This guide works on phones, tablets, Android TV (Sony, Philips, TCL...) and Android boxes.
Before you start
- An active subscription: your login details (or playlist link) are sent after you order.
- A stable internet connection: about 10 Mbit/s for HD and 25 Mbit/s recommended for 4K.
- The device you want to watch on, connected to the internet.
Step-by-step installation
-
Step 1 : Open the Google Play Store
Sign in with your Google account if you have not already.
-
Step 2 : Install an IPTV app
Search for example for IPTV Smarters Pro or OTT Navigator, then tap Install.
-
Step 3 : Launch the app
On first launch, accept the requested permissions and choose to add a subscription.
-
Step 4 : Choose the login mode
Select login with credentials (Xtream Codes API) or add an M3U playlist, depending on the access you received.
-
Step 5 : Enter your access details
Type a profile name, your username, your password and the server address, then confirm.
-
Step 6 : Enjoy your channels
The first load takes one or two minutes. Use categories, search and favourites to find your channels.
Tips for smooth playback
- On Android TV, use the remote to navigate; a Bluetooth mouse can help on some boxes.
- Clear the app cache if the list looks frozen.
- Install the app on several devices only if your plan allows it.
