How to install IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV
Last updated
Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs play IPTV through a player app installed from the TV store. Here is how to set it up in a few minutes.
Before you start
- An active subscription: your login details (or playlist link) are sent after you order.
- A stable internet connection: about 10 Mbit/s for HD and 25 Mbit/s recommended for 4K.
- The device you want to watch on, connected to the internet.
Step-by-step installation
-
Step 1 : Connect the TV to the internet
Use an Ethernet cable if you can, otherwise 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Check in the settings that the TV is online and its software is up to date.
-
Step 2 : Open the app store
On Samsung open Smart Hub then Apps. On LG open the LG Content Store.
-
Step 3 : Install an IPTV player app
Search for a compatible app, for example IPTV Smarters, Smart IPTV, Set IPTV or OTT Navigator. Availability depends on your model and country.
-
Step 4 : Add your subscription
Open the app and choose login with credentials (Xtream Codes) or with an M3U playlist link, depending on what we sent you.
-
Step 5 : Enter your login details
Fill in the username, password and server address received after your order. If the app shows a code or MAC address, send it to us on WhatsApp.
-
Step 6 : Wait for the first load
The channel list and programme guide take one or two minutes to load the first time. Then add your favourite channels to your favourites.
Tips for smooth playback
- Prefer an Ethernet cable over Wi-Fi to avoid drops in 4K.
- Restart the TV and the app if the list does not load.
- Keep the TV software up to date to stay compatible with apps.
